Royal Dublin Golf Club has hosted the Irish Open on a few occasions with Seve Ballesteros winning in 1983 and Bernhard Langer winning in 1984. The links are situated on Bull Island, which is a sand bank just off the north shore of Dublin Bay. The Royal Dublin is a challenging course but an experience you will enjoy. Malahide Golf Club is one of the oldest in Ireland. This inland course gently undulates through mature trees and around rivers and ponds. The three nine hole loops can be played in any combination. The course measures over 6000 metres which ever combination you play. Map
The K Club GC

Powerscourt Golf Club is situated within the grounds of the magnificent Powerscourt Estate in Co. Wicklow and is about 30 minutes south of Dublin. There are 2 courses the East Course and the new West Course both follow the contours of this mature and historic landscape and offer a variety of challenging holes. The European Golf Club opened in 1993 and is a wonderful links course that looks as though it could have been there for a 100 years. The exciting links go through tumbling dunes with dramatic views of the Irish Sea, some of the holes play along the side of the beach. Tralee GC
Tralee Golf Club was designed by Arnold Palmer and opened on its current site in 1984. He explained that he had designed the front nine but surely God had designed the back nine. A wonderful course layout that allows you to get into it gently but starts to show its teeth in preparation for a tough back nine. Spectacular views of the Atlantic as it rolls gently over the huge sandy beaches where part of the film Ryans Daughter was filmed. If touring in Kerry this is a must.
