Saunton GC

Saunton Golf Club has two wonderful Championship Links Courses. The East being 6427 yards par 71 and the West 6138 yards par 71. Not long by today's standard but you will need to plan your way round to score well. Set amid the natural sand dunes on the north side of Bideford Bay, links golf does not get much better than this. Map

Royal North Devon

Situated opposite Saunton GC, Royal North Devon is also a links course. Founded in 1864, it is the oldest golf course in England and is ranked 61 out of the top 120 courses in Britain and Ireland by Golf Monthly. The course stands at 6653 yards par 72 and can prove a stiff test of golf especially when the wind blows.  Map

Thurlestone GC

Cliff top links course with wonderful views. The course is 6340 yards par 71 and is always presented well the full year round. Proves to be a good test of golf. Map

Bovey Castle

Set a couple of miles outside Mortonhampstead in the Dartmoor National Park the Championship course offers a pleasant but challenging round of golf with the River Bovey meandering its way through the course and coming into play on a number of holes. The full 6303 yards par 70 is a real pleasure to play. The Manor House offers accommodation with various other sporting activities. Map

Torquay GC

Parkland course with wonderful views over the sea and Dartmoor. Founded in 1910 stretches over 6175 yards par 71 a pleasant course to play. Map

Dartmouth Golf & Country Club

A tough parkland course with some excellent testing holes 7200 yards par 72 championship course with no 2 holes the same. A very good layout and well worth the visit to test yourself. A buggy could be useful. Map


St Mellion Golf & Country Club

Two parkland courses the Old Course and the Nicklaus Course designed by the great Jack Nicklaus himself. Old Course stands at 5782 yards par 68 with the Nicklaus standing at 6592 yards par 72. There are some spectacular holes incorporating water, natural undulations and sculptured fairways. A good venue to stay and play or you can stay close by in Plymouth. Map

St Enodoc GC

Classic links course with huge sand hills and rolling fairways. Two courses the Church and the Holywell, the Church being the main course standing at 6243 yards par 69 designed by James Braid 1907 This is a good test to any golfer, play to your handicap and you will have played well. Map

Trevose GC

The Championship Course was laid out by the world renowned golf architect Harry Colt in 1924. Set in a stunning location on the North Cornish Coastline, Trevose offers you stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, wide sandy beeches and dramatic cliffs to go with the challenging course of 6608 yards par 71. A good test for every golfer. Map

Carlyon Bay Hotel & Golf Resort

Championship length, cliff top parkland course 6597 yards par 72. Magnificent views from the course across St Austell Bay as it stretches along the coastline offering some wonderful views out to sea. Stay and play resort with the 4 star Hotel offering you all the after golf comforts. Map

Roserrow Golf & Country Club

Challenging 6500 yard par 72 course in an undulating wooded valley with stunning views over the Cornish countryside and out to Hayle Bay. Self catering accommodation with other sporting and spa facilities. Map


Ferndown GC Dorset

Heathland course with gentle undulating fairways set amongst pine trees, a very pleasant 6490 yards par 71 course to play. Bournemouth offers a number of hotels for you to make your base for a good golfing break. Map

Broadstone GC

Undulating and demanding heathland course Broadstone is a quality course well worth visiting and a very good test of your golfing skills. Standing at 6315 yards par 70 this is a pure pleasure to play. When you have completed your round relax in the clubhouse, which overlooks the 18th and reflect upon your round. Map

Isle of Purbeck GC

Set on the Purbeck Hills the whole course offers fantastic views over Poole Harbour and the Channel towards the Isle of Wight. Heathland course with gorse and natural undulating terrain, at 6259yards long the par 70 course is a pure delight to play. Map

Parkstone GC

Set among pine trees and heather this is a very picturesque course with every hole presenting a different challenge. The course was enlarged in 1932 by James Braid resulting in an imaginative and testing 6250 yard par 72 course and a must to play. Map

The Dorset GC

Set near Bere Regis and offers 18 holes on the 6580 yard par 72 Lakeland Course and 9 holes twice 5032 yard par 66 Woodland Course. The club offers good facilities throughout and is well worth a visit to test skills. Map

Knighton Heath GC

A genuine heathland course offering many challenges to all golfers 6094 yards par 69 course founded in 1976. Many hotels can be found in Bournemouth for your overnight stay. Map

Lyme Regis GC

The course occupies a cliff top site with costal views to Portland Bill and looks down on the historic town and world heritage site of Lyme Regis. A 6283 yard par 71 course offers a very pleasant round of golf with a warm welcome offered at the clubhouse. Map

Bowood G & CC

Voted amongst the top 10 new courses in Britain, this championship course was designed by Dave Thomas architect of the Belfry. Set within rolling parkland, mature trees and lakes the course leaves you with a good feeling. Off the back tees it measures 7317 yards with a par of 72. The club offers good facilities throughout and accommodation can be found close by. Map
